My "puffed sleeves"
Ok.. so since you asked... I set the camera on a timer and got this shot... I hardly recognize myself! Like... what am I doing wearing someone ELSE'S cute clothes? Youssef thought it looked very "New York-ish" or something to that effect. I've come such a long way in my post pregnancy state. After Lily I didn't actually have any pants that fit (except some black stretchy ones) and I always wore this jean skirt that I'd put together from my too small jeans and tank tops that showed off my belly chub. I was telling someone once that you know you need new clothes after having a baby when you remember your maternity clothes with a sigh and fondness. Anyway, I never felt very pretty post kids untill now! Which is amazing in itself when you considar that the Wii fit keeps telling me how many lbs I gain and lose in a day and how I still need to lose over 20 lbs to get to my ideal body mass. Which, insidently, is still 10 lbs more than I was before being pregnant with Lily... I didn't have much muscle then though so that's probably why I was lighter than my "ideal" body mass. Now that I've been carrying two little turkeys around for the last almost three years I no longer need help putting the real 20 lb turkey into the oven on Thanksgiving! Ha, ha.. ;)
Oh, I'm so glad you posted a picture! You look really good! Although, I always thought you looked good!! Did you get your hair cut too? Maybe its just been awhile since I saw you. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm scared to get on the wii fit after hearing that it said you needed to lose weight!!
Well, I either need to lose weight or grow 5 inches taller and then I'd be the right weight for my height. You don't have to take the body test often though. And the whole point of getting it is to get fit. Anyway, I hide my chub pretty well, but I do weigh more than I should.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I sort of cut my hair myself. Just trimmed the layers because I hate how people cut my hair when I pay for it! They do all this "feathering in" nonsense that makes my hair flat and scraggly and then I have to do tons of things to make it look nice when if I cut my hair the RIGHT way I hardly have to do anything and it looks the way I want it to. I've been trying to figure out how to explain to someone how I want it cut.. they never believe me. It's so annoying.
You look great Lynne and congrats on losing some weight. I myself have lost 10 pounds on mostly just diet and some exercise (when I can get to the gym) so I know how it feels. I have quite a ways to go though! Maybe we can keep in touch and encourage one another through the process!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Heather
You look good, but I agree with Taneisha, you always did! On the other hand I know the feeling of finally getting to a point where you really like how you look. I'm looking forward to when(if!) I can fit back into the clothes I was wearing a year ago...but in the meantime I need to get new jeans! I'm still in maternity ones (the ones that don't look maternity-y)!
ReplyDeleteumm.. I didn't actually lose any weight really. I mean, I've lost weight since having Renna but I'm not at all close to what I was before being pregnant with her. The jeans though are suppose to be slimming. I actually said in the post that I need to lose 20 lbs to get to my perfect body mass.. as the Wii keeps telling me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments though! I do recommend a good pair of jeans! It's so nice getting a pair that fits... since all my other ones are too small and the maternity ones are too big.. so yes, why diet? Just buy a good pair of jeans and layers to cover the flab! ha.. ;) I am trying to exercise, but am not hoping for too much too quickly. It takes me a very long time to be "normal" again.
you go girl! now go out there and get your flirt on. I'm thinking date night!
ReplyDeleteWell, we just went to Youssef's work christmas party. That was pretty fun and the FIRST time we went out without one of the kids!
ReplyDeleteI think you look wonderful. But mostly I think it is because you look happy with yourself. That is so hard to attain! Congratulations!
